How To Make An Indoor Golf Course For Yourself And Your Kids

The sport of golf need not be something that only adults can play. This can be a sport and a game that you can enjoy with your kids at home. How can you do this? Simply by creating your own indoor golf course. You can take your cue from the many mini golf courses that you find in many different cities around you and near you. Check out how these mini-golf courses are made and what kinds of obstacles are used to create a challenging yet fun course to play.

First thing you will need, of course, is a space big enough for you and your kids to use as your indoor golf course area. You may need to move a few pieces of furniture around to create the space you need for this fun activity. One of the places that you can actually consider for this endeavor is your basement. Get your kids involved in the planning of the course and what obstacles you will put on it to make it more fun for all. You will need to have a piece of paper and a pen in hand for you to be able to properly diagram the course you will be making.

Once you and your kids have planned and diagramed the indoor golf course you are planning on making, you will then need to gather the materials for constructing it. Some of the things you may need include old toilet paper rolls, old shoe boxes, some bricks, coffee cans and other odds and ends that can be used to create the obstacles that will help make your course challenging as well as fun. Some of the things you can use to help with the construction of your indoor golf course include scissors, glue, duct tape and markers.

When you have all of the items you need for your mini golf course, start building the obstacles first before you place them on the course. For example, you can make a tunnel obstacle by cutting out a small entry and exit hole from a shoe box and gluing a few empty toilet paper rolls or plastic cups with the bottoms cut off to make a tunnel through it. You can also use an empty kitchen paper towel roll for the tunnel. The idea here is to be creative with your kids and have fun making the course and playing it with them.
